A grill is a piece of custom jewelry molded to fit over your teeth. The process starts with a mold (a dental impression) of your top teeth, bottom teeth, or both. That mold is what makes the grill sit snug and removable — no glue, and no permanent changes to your teeth. From there, you choose how many teeth to cover, the metal, the finish, and whether you want stones.

Grillz styles, explained

Grillz are priced and designed by the number of teeth covered. Common choices:

• 6 teeth (the “six”) — the front six on top or bottom; the most popular look.
